Hello, long time no write...... 

Im not going to make excuses this time about why i haven't done a blog post basically since i got to America. Basically i couldn't be bothered, i was having really low self-esteem and i could never come up with outfits/posts that i liked. 

I'm also not going to promise that this is it, I'm back, because to be honest i probably won't be do a lot  of posts as i start college in two weeks!! Yes, just a little quick catch up on what's happening in my life right now. Basically it's summer here, and in May i found out i got into the college that i really wanted to go, that was close to where i live. So i had to sit a placement test, and considering i haven't been at school in two years, i didn't do great, so i had to take a summer school course for Pre College Algebra, which wasn't that bad, i found it really easy and passed. So that's fine, I've now had my Orientation day and got my class schedule and my ID, so its starting to become very real and very scary.  I'm going to be studying Psychology which I'm pretty excited about, and at this stage I'm thinking of going down the forensic Psychology route because i just find that stuff extremely interesting, and one of my classes is Criminology which I'm so pumped for!! (but lets be honest its probably because I'm obsessed with Law and Order SVU and Criminal Minds). 

What else, ah, i just got back last week from Jamaica where i spent an amazing week. It was so beautiful and hot and the people are so lovely, and the Rum cocktails for breakfast lunch and dinner weren't so bad either haha ;) Honestly though i highly recommend it for a holiday destination. Wait sorry I'm in America now so i should say "Vacation" destination. I might post some photo's in the next couple of days from my trip.!! 

Anyway, i wanted to make this blog post because i just really like my outfit today and felt pretty boss so i thought i'd get a couple of pics and post them. I got these Steve Madden Sandals last week and have been trying to figure what i can wear with them. I decided they needed to be the feature of an outfit, so i just wore them with a very cute white outfit. Today was thankfully a bit cooler, so i threw on the white cover up type light jacket thing. 

Hope you're all well over the summer break or that you're managing and finding the (mild) winter back in Aus okay!!! Missing my friends a lot today.

Wow, i am sorry it has taken me so long to post something, especially a fashion post, I've not been in the greatest headspace lately still adjusting to living in America, where unfortunatley everything you do is a constant effort and struggle. This has lifted my Anxiety to a whole new level.  (Yes i suffer from anxiety). This has then made me nervous to pretty much do anything. 

But i just decided to stuff it, and get out and do a post. So my mum and i went into the city and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is something that i have never done before. It was such an amazing day, the sun was out with blue skies and it was warm and so lovely. The bridge and the view was stunning, but crazy busy, and the people who ride their bikes across are quite rude, so just remember to stay in the walking lane. 

Now this outfit was perfect for walking and the heat. Lets start with my Favourite new shoes..... These Puma trainers. OMG i am in love...., so in love that i have them in Grey AND Red. Yes you read correct i have two pairs of the same shoe in different colours. I am a confessed shoe addict. I have bought 9 pairs of shoes since i have arrived in the states. (Someone help me).  

I have decided i am from now on only going to buy jeans from Zara, as they are the comfiest i have ever had (i have 3 pairs of Zara jeans) you can move and bend in them, they are cute, comfy and are actually my length, i am quite short, but i have never had to get Zara jeans taken up.  BONUS!

This is an older Mink pink shirt, that i initially bought to wear at my job back in Aus, because its easy to wear, and super comfortable. The Abercrombie and Fitch jacket i bought recently in Chicago on sale, and i love it.  It is super lightweight, easy colour (Navy) to pair with and I'm going to say it again but really comfortable, with a great length. 

Hopefully i can get into posting more often, but please bare with me. I also don't have much outfit inspiration atm.

The Oscar's Red Carpet Fashion

Alright, 

So the the Oscar's were last night and what a night!!!! The gorgeous glam, performances, awards and obviously the best thing ever... Leonardo DiCaprio FINALLY winning an Oscar's. About time!! His speech was amazing and perfect for it being well overdue. 

These are my fav's and the not so great looks of the night. (I had more fav's than dislikes!! So thats a good thing)

Likes:

Firstly The Gorgeous Margot Robbie

She is wearing a stunning Tom Ford gown, The Row Purse and Forever Mark Jewellery. Doesn't this look just make her look absolutely golden and like absolute HollyWood Royalty. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. Doesn't hurt that she's a fellow Aussie!! 

Next the amazing Olivia Wilde

Wearing Valentino Haute Couture and a Roger Vivier Purse. I feel as if you can never go wrong with a Valentino gown. This one is angel like, and has the perfect ratio of fabric to skin. The low cut front and gorgeously open back is one stunning combo. The open back is literally like she has angel wings. Paired wight the chocker equals an A+ from me. 

 Stunning. 

Brie Larson

Wearing a Gucci gown and Niwaka Jewellery, this hypnotising blue number, draws you in from the get go. Firstly Brie is absolutely gorgeous to begin with, and then when you put her in a fabulous gown like this, there is no stopping her. The contrast if the Fuchsia lip and the blue gown, is amazing and couldn't have been paired more perfectly. And nothing needs to be stated about the sparkly belt part, because it speaks for itself. 

Alicia Vikander 

Wearing a custom Louis Vuitton dress, heels and jewellery. Not many people can pull off yellow. But WOW.  It's like Alicia, was born to wear yellow. She makes it look like it's such an easy colour to wear, and that we should all give it a go. I won't however, as it does not look good on me. But srsly WOW. This dress is stunning the yellow with the silver sparkles over it, paired with the simply gorgeous heels, is the perfect combo for a perfect evening for Alicia. Especially with her gorgeously tanned body. 

Rachel McAdams 

Four Words... I LOVE RACHEL MCADAMS. 

She will forever be the best Regina George. My love for her carries on. And this dress doesn't change my feelings.  She is wearing an August Getty Atelier dress and Stuart Weitzman heels. Normally I'm not a fun of deep green like this, but for some reason she rocks it, and makes me love it. The silky, high neck, high cut leg are a perfect combination. This is simple and sophisticated which is perfect for the event. 

Lady Gaga 

I feel like Lady Gaga won the night really. not necessarily because of her attire, even though it is cool and it is in my likes, but because of her standing up and speaking out for herself and so many other victims of sexual assault. Her performance was an incredibly beautiful and emotional piece that had everyone wiping their eyes. Wearing this strong custom made Brandon Maxwell Pant/dress and Brian Atwood heels, oh and also $8 million dollars worth of Lorraine Schwartz Jewels, just casually. This piece is very eye catching around the chest, and the pleated cape like back from around the waist, make this look very elegant, and i think it was perfect for Lady Gaga and the evening. 

Dislikes:

Saoirse Ronan

Wearing custom Calvin Klein Collection dress and Chopard Jewellery. 

I like the style of this dress just not the fabric, and colour. It looks like she is a wearing a scaly green lizard. I think the make up and hair are really simple and gorgeous. But it just didn't fit with, in my opinion; quite a busy dress, with the sparkles, and if you look closely the swirls. Not a huge fan unfortunately. 

Heidi Klum

Wearing a fall 2016 Marchesa dress and Lorraine Schwartz Jewels. 

Umm okay, Heidi. This is way too poofy, puffy and purple for my liking, and almost child fairytale like (but not in a good way). I don't think it was the right type of dress for the occasion and i feel like She's Heidi Klum, she could have done way better. 

Cate Blanchett

 Wearing an Armani Privé dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and a Roger Vivier clutch. This just doesn't do it for me. The Poofy flowers that stick up all over the dress, i feel are a bit much, I think the dress would have been stunning and elegant with out the flowers. It's a stunning colour, so i think it was nearly a hit but unfortunately because of the flowers a definite miss. 

Kerry Washington 

Wearing an Atelier Versace dress, Gianvito Rossi shoes and vintage Harry Winston diamonds. 

This for me just gives off vibes of dominatrix, 50 shades of grey type stuff or something and i honestly don't know why. Maybe because of the black leather corset running into the seemingly innocent white skirt. I honestly don't know why this one annoys me a bit. 

So there are definitely more i would have loved to have put in the Likes, but this post would have never ended. So overall yes, there were a few not so great choices, but i think that everyone pretty much nailed it.

Okay, so i just found the best thing ever!!

If you are after some gorgeous, good quality, but inexpensive shoes and clothes then boy have i just made your day. 

Last week i was sitting on the floor in my new lounge room (yes on the floor as i do not have a couch yet) and an add came on the TV, and it was hilarious. Basically it was of a woman in a huge Shoe closet (the closet of my dreams) and she was talking into a camera about this amazing deal she got, buying all these pairs of shoes for $39.95 each and free shipping. At this point they had my full attention. I was listening. After i went straight to my computer and googled: JustFab.com. And let me tell you, i have never enjoyed online shopping so much. 

Basically you sign up for FREE. Then a little questionnaire comes up asking you what kinds of shoes and clothes you are into, heel size, favourite colours, styles, shoe size etc. and they put together a little Boutique for you. So you can look through things that you actually like and would consider buying. (you can also just look through their normal pages) but this makes it more directed towards you and your likings. Who wouldn't want that? 

Now once i had done the questionnaire it told me, that now as a VIP of the site i would get my first pair of shoes for just $10.99, if i bought them within that first hour!!! WHAT $10 shoes. YES PLEASE. So that's what i did, i looked through their normal site pages, and then looked through the little boutique they made me. That's when i saw them. A few of "them" actually. Yes i had wished listed 25 pairs of shoes that i liked. I had to decide from 25 pairs that i liked and which one i would be getting for $10.99. That's really hard to do haha. But i did it and am in love with the heels i picked. I chose pointed toe pump, in a baby blush pink. TO DIE FOR. 

So i ordered them and was super excited. I then went on with my life (for about 4-5 days) completely forgetting about them. Then last night i realised i hadn't check the mail, so i went out to my front porch and BAM, their was a parcel with my name on it. WOOHOOOO it was like Christmas!!! I'd totally spaced on what it could be. To then realise whilst opening, that it was my SHOES!!!! And OH. MY. GOODNESS. I immediately fell in love, they were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what i wanted. 

This was probably the best online shopping experience i have had in a long time. It honestly made you feel like they actually cared about the things you like.  All shoes - heels, boots, sandals, flats etc, are $39.95, and you get free shipping!!! ( In America, not so sure about international). However with your first pair of shoes for the highly discounted price you do have to pay for the shipping. I think it's worth it though.  They also sell Fabletics, which is Kate Hudson's athletics clothing brand. 

Super happy with JustFab.com and will 100% be using them again.

First Weeks In The USA

Hey Everybody, 

So i have officially been living in New Jersey, USA for 2 weeks today. Which is crazy, it has gone so fast. And i am loving it!!! Obviously the first wee bit is a tad stressful, which it has definitely proven to be. American Systems seem to be a lot more complicated then Australian things, so processes take a lot longer and are a struggle. Which is annoying when you are trying to quickly set up a new life. 

I'm slowly starting to get used to the different lifestyle and DRIVING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD!! (which actually isn't that bad). 

We had an AMAZING Blizzard which you all heard of on the news on my second weekend here. #SnowstormJonas. It was awesome and i officially am in love with snow and blizzards. (Besides the damage they unfortunately caused lots of people). Its weird but i absolutely love the way the sky looks when it was snowing. The beautiful grey sky. Weird i know. 

My house looks like an absolute winter wonderland and i am so excited to move in, in a couple of weeks. (We are staying in temporary accommodation until we have some basic furniture to live off until our container arrives). I was at the house today and i freaked out and was in awe, as i watched three Deer jump bound across my front and backyard, it was so cool.

My New bed finally arrived today, which makes me very happy and excited!! But downside to moving across the world, means it takes months for all of our furniture to arrive here. All of our stuff isn't arriving till end of February/beginning of March, which is frustrating, but also means we get to buy some new stuff in the meantime and as we have a much bigger house that we aren't used to!!! We need to fill it with stuff haha.

Can't wait to decorate my new room, with the new theme I've picked for it. I will share photo's and maybe do a room tour when I've finished decorating and furnishing.

I'm going to try my best to slowly get back into my fashion/beauty posts and i might try some decor posts as well! so bare with me, while i get back into the swing of things.
